It seems like just yesterday I sat down to write Personal Finance Utopia Reboot after letting the cobwebs accumulate on this site for about 1.5 months. I indicated a renewed vigor and dedication to Personal Finance Utopia. That was 3 months ago and I only managed a couple of articles during that time. If I was any better at saying one thing and then doing another I’d be a politician!
So, what’s the deal then? Well, it’s pretty much the same story as what I shared last time. At the forefront remained the struggles with job burnout. Instead of using that to motivate myself to keep this site running strong, I let it do the opposite. Couple the drag of job disillusionment with how busy the holiday season was and I simply lost momentum.
How will things be different this time around with yet another relaunch? Well, for one I’ve already got a start on posting (see Your Fear of Failure Defines You). Secondly, I’ve got another job lined up and in the works. Unfortunately, it’s only a lateral move within the same area of the same company. Thus, the possibility exists that the job burnout and long hours continue. However, at least it will be a change of pace and something new to try. Hopefully, it allow a more reasonable balance so that I can give everyone out there what they really want: more spectacular, thought provoking, top quality articles on Personal Finance Utopia!
Now, if only the Yakezie Challenge would change the 2 times a week posting requirement to once every 3 months! I’d be a member already 😉
I’m trying to drive up my Twitter followers, Facebook Likes, and E-mail subscriptions. You can also follow along via Google+, BlogLovin, or RSS. Please help me reach my goals by selecting one or all of these options!
